Our women's rings and some of our mens rings are offered with Standard Fit sizing. Most of our men's rings are made with Comfort Fit sizing. Check the description section under the ring you have selected to determine which interior style it is. The inner circle in a Standard Fit ring is flat - having the same thickness all around the band. This is perfectly comfortable to wear in narrower width wedding rings and bands and is the norm for most women's engagement rings and wedding bands. The wider the width of the wedding band (as is often typical in men's wedding rings) the more uncomfortable it can be to wear a ring over long periods of time with a Standard Fit interior. In a Comfort Fit, the interior side/surface of the ring is not flat, but is actually domed which gives it a slight, rounded curve. This minimizes the area of contact between your finger and the ring's surface, while still keeping the ring securely around your finger. Here is a cross section view of a ring:

 

 

Comfort Fit Sizing

If you know your normal ring size, and are purchasing a ring labeled as having a Comfort Fit interior, we recommend you order half a size smaller. Most jewelers use Standard Fit sizers (which are for rings with flat interiors) so keep that in mind if you have been sized by a jeweler. If you are normally a size 8.0 on a standard sizer, a 7.5 would be the best for you here. Similarly, if you're a 10.5, go ahead and order a 10.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are ordering a ring in an 8mm or larger width, you may not need this adjustment down in size due to the larger surface area of a bigger ring. In fact, very large widths (12mm-20mm) may require a increase above your normal ring size. This is to accommodate the larger ring sliding over your knuckle.

Ring Sizers

The best way to get your accurate ring size is to go to your nearest jeweler and have your ring size measured. They will give you a couple of rings in different sizes, and you can determine for yourself which one fits you the best.

Be sure to tell them the width of the ring you are ordering and whether it is a Comfort Fit or Standard Fit band - both of these factors will affect the size you need.

There are also guides/paper printouts on the Internet that help you understand your ring size correctly. They are not as accurate as getting your ring size measured by a local jeweler or our Adjustable Ring Sizer, but they can be of some help.

• Be sure to put your printer settings at 100% before printing out the size chart.
• Viewing it on your computer screen or printing it out at less than a 100% setting will not give you an accurate size measurement.
• Please keep in mind that the "order half a size smaller" works for this also! This ring chart will determine your Standard Fit ring size. Your Comfort Fit ring size is half a size smaller up to a 6mm width! See NOTE above for 8mm + widths.
